More details:

Our work is based on the principle of Intactness (The Integrative-Preventive & Safe Lifestyle) which is in a nutshell “self control through reasoning and intelligence”: It’s the ability to zoom out, appreciate what you have, humble yourself and use reasoning to make the right choice, navigate the obstacles of life, keep focused in the present and protect yourself from danger. Our main focus is on integrity and purity of the mind and body.

We promote: Intelligence, Accountability and Goodness

We discourage: pride, envy and greed.

We will learn essential skills of self control via reasoning and understand why the connection with the Divine is the key to a content life.

These activities will be age appropriate.

....................................................................

Our world has changed very rapidly over the last few decades, we’re surrounded by stressors, temptation, danger, obligations and never ending tasks. This fast paced lifestyle is having its toll on people’s health including children and young people, both physically and psychologically.

We invite children and young people to come join us in a relaxed and nurturing environment and learn the basics of self control through reasoning and intelligence in practice.

Learn the value of connecting with something bigger than you.

Why moderation, modesty and integrity is essential for a fulfilled life.

How to appreciate what you have and thrive to make the right choices through reasoning and intelligence to protect yourself from harm and pain.

Learn to develop resilience and control emotions through practical activities.

Learn how to keep yourself focused and centered to achieve your purpose and goals.

Learn about the LEAN principle (Low Emission Activity for Nature).

Learn about the values of giving, sharing and community.

Learn how to slow down, talk less, focus your attention inward and work on yourself to to get better.

Develop a daily recentering and grounding routine from an early age based on the Abrahamic lifestyle (Sound-Preventive-Integrative-Moderate) from the Quran+Bible, or your own belief system or way if you don’t have any).

Everyone is welcome, it’s an inclusive, safe and nonjudgemental environment. These are universal skills that are based on the unifying principle of Wholeness, Purity and Harmony.

We encourage gradual and gentle self-discovery through reasoning, analytical thinking and growth, not through conventions, inherited traditions or pressure.

The focus is to develop analytical and critical thinking, slow down, balance and resynchronise the right and left side of the brain, control emotions and get the mind and body to operate together in harmony and peac. Not against each other, but together.

We will work to strengthen the connection with the right side of the brain (the imaginative/creative/intuitive side) in children and young people through exercises that nourish abstract thinking, imagination, figurative language, art/craft, writing, reading and creative skills.

We will also start/continue to learn the Arabic language (The Refined-Vivid Language), there will be 2 groups, one for beginners and another for improvers.

The Arabic language:

The Arabic language is a great tool to use to develop the connection with the right side of the brain as it's a figurative, nonliteral langyage, it's a great vehicle to use to travel into the abstract world and discover the nonliteral meaning of the words.

We discourage the use of generic  interpretations/translations of the Quran without the ability to independently refer back to the original text in Arabic as it’s simply not possible to interpret the Quran accurately into other languages without distorting the meaning, that’s because the Arabic language is built on a completely different principle, therefore the focus will be on acquiring the Arabic language first to allow the person to study the Quran independently in the future without intermediaries, this requires efforts and dedication, however it’s achievable with determination.

The Arabic language is the only reliable key to access the Quran independently without intermediaries.

This summer club will continue to run on Saturdays every week starting from August 2024 onwards. More details will be available on the website in due course.

The club is located in a community center in the South of Edinburgh with access to an outdoor space that is specially designed for children and young people.
